My academic life
In this part, let me explain the academic life in Urbino. To begin with, I have to admit that I thought there would be more choices of classes related to my degree which is English Literature and Civilisation.
However, I managed to find a lot of classes that suited me. It was not always easy because not all classes are in English, so I had to follow some in Italian. For instance, I took applied linguistics in Italian, and I am not going to lie, it was hard.
You can find classes of anglo-american culture and english culture. Also, you can find classes of English literature. However, sometimes you cannot have them for both semesters like we are used to in France. For example, I could only take English Literature classes for the second semester, none were available for the first one.
One thing you have to keep in mind is that most of the classes are worth eight or nine credits, so you will have fewer classes here than in France.
Classes usually start at 9am, and they can go until 7pm. Most of the time I have four hours of classes per day, which means two classes because they all last two hours. However, teachers often let you go 15 or 30 minutes early.
